Remember that radios are a system of gear, skills, and a PLAN.
I recommend AmRRON as they have created a plan (called a SOI) and practice it every week. This is their introduction to the CH3 project which I've mentioned in my talks.
Only update to this video are that FRS radios are now .5watts or 2watts and have 22 channels.
